Dina Pinner is co-founding director of KayamaMoms, which provides support and advocacy for Jewish single mothers by choice. Dina made Aliyah from Palmers Green
(London N13) in 2000 and today lives in Jerusalem with her partner. Dina is also a teacher and poet.
A single woman in her late 30s often faces an impossible choice - either have a baby alone or miss motherhood altogether. In the family-oriented Jewish community, she struggles between alienation as a single women and concerns about support. Should she choose to build a Jewish family by herself?
