Jess Gold: Emerging out of the Chrysalis
Jess started writing Jewish songs after meeting Debbie Friedman at Limmud in 1994. She became involved with Friends of the Earth and began wondering whether you could teach green concepts through songs as we teach Jewish ones. She began producing Project Earth Rock in 2009 and finished it in 2014.
"In this shmita year, lets see what happens when you take a song writer, a music producer and an artist and leave them in a room together for 6 years to create an inspirational something to guide the next generation in living sustainable lives."
